New to state contracting? Start at the beginning. This class is for small businesses that have little or no knowledge of the state procurement process. We'll focus on common procurement terminology, examine how the state contracting arena operates, and provide resources to help you determine if pursuing work in the public sector would be beneficial to your company. Please bring pen and paper to take notes.

Are you interested in obtaining Federal contracts? If so, join us for a basic overview of the federal procurement (acquisition) process. Over $30 billion of contracts were performed in Maryland last year. Learn about the federal marketplace - the what, the how, and the who. Hear about the resources to guide and support your efforts so you can compete with greater confidence in the federal contracting arena. Please bring pen and paper to take notes.
Our special guest is Helga Weschke, Director of Federal Business Relations in the Office of Military & Federal Affairs at the Maryland Department of Commerce.
Who should attend? Small, minority, and women business owners interested in learning more about how to navigate the federal procurement system.
